About Elizabethton Fence Builders

A locally owned fence contractor serving Elizabethton and the rest of Carter County and the Tri-Cities.

Elizabethton Fence Builders Work Truck

Fencing Built in Elizabethton, Not Trucked In

Elizabethton Fence Builders started as a small crew running jobs along the Doe River corridor and the back roads of Carter County. We grew into a full-service fence contractor by doing one thing — showing up on time, finishing on time, and standing behind the work. Today we install across Elizabethton, Johnson City, Jonesborough, Erwin, Unicoi, Hampton, Watauga, Mountain City, and out to Roan Mountain.

Every job starts with a walk-through of the property and a written quote. No high-pressure sales, no canned package pricing, no calling back two days later with a different number. We measure what's there, talk through the material choices that make sense for your lot and its grade, and put the price on paper before we leave.

Northeast Tennessee is hard on fences. The freeze-thaw lifts shallow posts, the wet ground along the river bottoms rots cheap lumber, and the wind off the ridges puts real load on every panel. We've spent years figuring out which materials and which install details hold up around here — and the fences we put in reflect that.

What We Care About

01

Doing It Right

Posts get set in concrete below the frost line, not in dirt and dust. Gates get reinforced where the wind hits hardest. Wood gets a kickboard standard. The small details are the reason a fence lasts twenty years instead of seven.

02

Straight Answers

If a repair is cheaper than a replacement, we say so. If a material won't survive your lot's grade or drainage, we say that too. You won't get a sales pitch — you'll get the same advice we'd give a neighbor.

03

Staying Local

Our service area is Carter County and the surrounding Tri-Cities towns. That's it. Staying local means we know the soil, the codes, the HOAs, and the inspectors — and we can be back at your house in an hour if something needs attention.

04

Finishing Clean

The job isn't done when the last picket goes up. We haul off the old fence, the broken concrete, and the scrap material the same day. Your yard should look better when we leave than when we showed up.

What Our Clients Say

Six-foot board-on-board privacy run on a sloped backyard off Lynn Avenue. The grade drops nearly four feet across the line and they stepped the panels clean instead of trying to rack it. Two winters in, no leaning posts, no gaps after the freeze-thaw.

Four-board horse fence on the pasture off Old Stage Road. Locust posts where the wet spots are, treated pine through the dry stretches, gates wide enough to take the tractor. Crew knew what they were doing and the price held to the quote.

Aluminum decorative fence around the front yard on a ridge lot off Indian Ridge Road. Powder-coated black, picket spacing tight, and they ran it level on a hillside that nobody else wanted to bid. Looks sharp from the road.

Repair job after a big limb came down across the chain-link off Jackson Love Highway. They were out two days after I called, replaced the bent top rail, reset the corner post, and patched the fabric so you can't tell where it was hit.
